Brass sextet by the great French horn teacher, Louis-Francois Dauprat (1781-1868). Originally written for horns in various keys, Dauprat intended for his students to practice transposing parts. Sextet #3 is slow (Lento/Grave) with interweaving and overlapping melodies. All parts have challenging passages, making this piece interesting and rewarding for advancing musicians.
