Product Description

The delightful fourth movement (Rondo) of Mozart's "Posthorn" Serenade (K.320) arranged for Clarinet and Alto Saxophone soloists and concert band.

The solo and band parts are appropriate for good high school players, as well as college and adult community bands. This arrangement preserves the "light and charming" character and woodwind colors of Mozart's original scoring. It's adaptable for a full concert band, or for a chamber wind ensemble.

Duration: approx. 6:00. The audio clip is a complete concert performance by the Peninsula Symphonic Winds, with soloists Joanne Davidson (clarinet) and Joe Siegel (alto saxophone).

Instrumentation: Flutes (divisi-minimum 2) / Oboes / Clarinet 1-2-3 / Alto Clarinet* / Bass Clarinet / E-flat contra-alto clarinet (optional alternate for string bass) / Bassoons / Alto Saxophone / Tenor Saxophone / Baritone Saxophone / Trumpet 1-2-3 / Horn 1-2-3*-4* / Trombone 1-2-3* / Euphonium / Baritone T.C. / String Bass / Bells / Timpani  (*Horns 3-4, Trombone 3, and Alto Clarinet are optional)
