Now Orleanss born Louis Moreau Gottschalk was an acclaimed 19th century pianist and composer. A pasquinade is a satire or lampoon. It was composed in Rio de Janeiro in 1869 and published in 1870.

The arrangement is for (Picc,Fl,2Ob,4Cl,2Bn,Cb).
