Un saltarello a 5 voci con accompagnamento di liuto composto da Orazio Vecchi.
Orazio Vecchi era un monaco benedettino modenese, che inizialmente introdotto alla musica dal "collega" servita Salvatore Essenga, frequentò musicalmente la scuola veneziana di Claudio Merulo e Giovanni Gabrieli. Visse la maggiorparte dei suoi anni tra Venezia, Reggio Emilia e Correggio, ma negli ultimi anni del '500 passò anche da Firenze dove conobbe Jacopo Peri. Le sue opere, prevalentemente madrigali o "madrigali allungati in melodrammi", avrebbe influenzato notevolmente la musica di Adriano Banchieri, di una generazione più giovane.

A Saltarello for 5 voices by Orazio Vecchi, who composed most of his works (particularly madrigals) in the late renaissance period, influenced by the Venetian school of Merulo and Gabrieli and influencing on his own hand the later music by Adriano Banchieri.
