The G Minor Concerto for Trombone follows the standard format of fast slow fast movements. The first being Adagio Andante and is entitled "Variations". The slow or 2nd movement Lento - is in 6/8 meter and is entitled "Remembering the 60s". The movement is based, in part, on a chord progression to a popular song from the 1960s. The 3rd movement, entitled "Now", is up tempo and rhythmic. Its harmonic structure based in a jazz-like chord progression. It is bright, thoughtful, and sometimes a bit moody. Approximate length 17 minutes and 55 seconds.
