Product Description
Tchaikovsky composed this, the first of his string quartets, in 1871. The second movement, Andante cantabile, has become particularly famous on its own, often performed in a string orchestra version. This arrangement, based on the original string quartet music, sits well with a five-piece brass group, retaining the beautiful and somewhat melancholic nature of the original.
This arrangement was completed in 2012, and performance time runs about 5 minutes, 28 seconds. Contact the arranger, Les Smith, at lessmith@ufl.edu. If you like this one, don't miss "Two By Grieg."
