Product Description

Here is another short, fun arrangement for the Christmas season. The first two phrases take the form of a trumpet-and-horn duet, while on the third the tuba makes it a trio. For the remainder of the melody the entire group plays, with the trombone going off on its own trajectory. The second time through, everyone plays until the end, at which point the tempo slows to half time and the trio format is reestablished. Use as an encore, or slip it in among some other short carols.

This arrangement was completed in 2012, and performance time runs about 1 minute, 27 seconds. This version is also available for brass quintet with a second trombone (instead of Horn in F). For information, contact the arranger, Les Smith, at lessmith@ufl.edu. For more arrangements by Les, enter "Sweetwater Brass Press" (without the quotation marks) in the search box. (Also, purchase of this piece entitles you to your choice of another of his arrangements at no charge; send a copy of your purchase receipt directly to him at lessmith61@bellsouth.net.)
