Product Description
An original hymn from the Book of Mormon with text by Kathryn Hales below.
I sing as Mormon, in sad lament,
For all the fair ones whove been slain;
I mourn for fallen sons and daughters,
Who have lived their lives in vain.
Thus shall be the fate of all men
Who turn away from Christ, the Lord,
He, who suffered for the fallen,
For the fair ones dead by sin or sword.
I sing as Moroni, son of Mormon,
Only I from battles have survived,
Left alone for years to wander,
No friends or family left alive.
Soon the records I must bury
In the darkness of the earth,
Kept for centuries by the faithful,
Writings of eternal worth.
Yet, together well join in singing,
When a happier day will come;
Weve been shown a future time,
For Gods work is not yet done.
The sacred writings weve preserved
Will come forth in wondrous light;
From the earth our voices herald,
Speaking truth in power and might.
All who wish to share Gods plan
Of forgiveness, mercy, truth,
All who preach the restored Gospel,
Bringing to light words of worth;
Turn your hearts unto the Savior,
Hearken to our joyful call,
The Book of Mormon, full of promise,
Join our singing, one and all.
