Product Description
A Whole New World is the theme from the Disney animated movie, Aladdin,
released in 1992. It won Best Song at both the Oscars and the Grammies and the
end-credit version by Peabo Bryson
and Regina Belle remains the only
song from a Disney movie to reach No1 on the US Billboard charts. This version
is arranged as a duet for two Violins.
Musicians at an intermediate level will find
this a fun addition to formal and informal concert performances, with both
parts enjoying melodic interest. The overall performance time is around three
minutes. The recorded sample is from the Clarinet and Alto Saxophone version of this duet. The complete YouTube performance is the clarinet version.
Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help
with ensemble skills and expressive playing. Students will enjoy the challenge
of some syncopated rhythms and the key change.
