Product Description
Hodie Christus Natus Est translates to "Today, Christ is born." Of all the "Hodie's" that I know of, this one is my absolute favorite.
The original motet was written for 5 voices. This transcription for clarinet choir has 9 voices. Optional Clarinet 4 and 5 parts were created to give the piece fullness, as they are exactly the same as Clarinet in Eb and Clarinet 1 parts, but an octave lower. The alto and bass parts share a lot the same notes also, to help give the piece a solid "bottom". The contrabass shares the same music as the bass. That said, this piece can be played with only 5 parts, but it sounds great with 9.
This piece will help make your Christmas concert a very festive one!
Scored for Eb, 5 Bb, alto, bass, and contrabass.
