Ballo No. 1 is the first part of the ballet music from Verdi's opera Macbeth in Act III. The opera after the dram Macbeth by William Shakespeare premiered on 14 March 1847 at Teatro della Pergola in Firenze (Florence).The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Salzburg Wind Philharmonic conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "Three Kings' Concert" on 6 January 2025 at the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria and broadcasted live by Austrian television.
