I embarked on a new cycle of music composition for a symphony orchestra this week, and for some reason I cant quite put my finger on, my new works bear a striking resemblance to (though not quite as impressive) the enchanting music composed by the legendary Joe Hisashi for the Ghibli films. I began by crafting a complex chord progression and then arpeggiated it with the cellos. Next, I composed the theme that you can hear introduced by the celesta, and it was then repeated by the violins 1. The piece then takes a different path, developing the initial materials and accompanying them in various ways. I hope youll enjoy it.
