Product Description
A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. Text inspired by the question of the Savior to the apostle Peter.
Text:
Lovest thou Me? our Savior asked Peter when walking one day.
Along the shores of Galilee, he answered in this way:
Yea, my Lord, Thou knowest much; Thou knowest I love Thee.
Walking on the waters front, He heard our Saviors plea:
Feed my lambs, O feed my sheep.
Then He asked again:
O, Simon, son of Jonas,
Can I on you depend?
Lovest thou Me? our Savior asked Peter once more by the sea.
Yea, my Lord, Thou knowest that I truly do love Thee.
Once again, three times in all, his Saviors soft reply
Came from His own honest heart: He looked in Peters eyes:
Feed my lambs, O feed my sheep.
Saying once again:
O, Simon, son of Jonas,
Can I on you depend?
Lovest thou Me? our Savior asks covenant daughters and sons.
Will ye be a witness to my children who will come?
Will ye be committed and enlighten those who seek?
Will ye lift your voice so all may know ye speak for Me?
Feed my lambs, O feed my sheep;
Love to you Ill lend.
O, children of my covnant,
On Me ye can depend.
