Product Description

There is an optional Contrabass part so it can be performed by a String Orchestra. There is also a Third Violin part which is an alternative to Viola.
Habanera from Bizets Comic Opera Carmen literally means music or dance of Havana. In the Opera, it is an aria that signifies (from the French) that love is a rebellious bird. Bizet acknowledged that he had adapted the tune from an earlier composition by the Spaniard Sebastian Iradier. The effective use of triplets, chromaticism and ritornelli contribute to a haunting and timeless rhythmic gem.
