Product Description
This arrangement of "The First Noël" is specific to my Middle School Music Ensemble at the private school where I teach in South Carolina. It features lead parts for flute and/or violin, with harmonized clarinet and cello parts.
There is also an optional vocal part, which also includes chords and melody for piano and chords for guitar players.
Electric bassists can also read the chord marking on the guitar part.
Finally, a simple drum part for a drum kit, as well as a bongo and/or hand percussion part, allows for the rhythm section to get involved.
This arrangement is broadly flexible for various types of instrumentation, and can be adapted for many ensemble settings and sizes. For example, tubas, trombones, bass clef baritones, euphoniums, bassoons, etc., could easily play the cello part. The violin and flute melodies could be transposed easily to accommodate Eb and Bb saxophones, too, and the clarinet part could be rewritten slightly to accommodate the range of, say, a Bb tenor saxophone.
