Product Description

The first of 6 trio sonatas for 2 flutes or violins & bass (bassoon or cello) first published in 1779 in Amsterdam by J.J. Hummel and dedicated to Monsier J. B. Mulhausen, an amateur musician from Bremen. The Sonata has 3 movements, Allegro, Largo and Vivace, Tempo di Menuetto and the style is clearly in transition from Baroque to early Classical style. The bass part is figured - a remnant from the Baroque style - but the three parts clearly have no need of a keyboard part. The trio can be enjoyed by a group of players of moderate accomplishment.
