Product Description

This beautiful Passacaglia by Robert de Visée (1655-1733) might sound a little different to the usual classical guitar version, but that's because it has been transcribed directly from the orginal tablature: Livre de pièces pour la guitare (Paris, 1686). The piece transfers well to the ukulele, except that the scalar passage in bar 3 of the ritornello break to the octave on the G string, though this is not too obtrusive. The piece works even better in low G tuning or on a baritone - though the notation is for ukulele tuned G C E A.
