By Stephen Hague, Larry Price, Blake Slatkin, Eric Frederic, Theron Makiel Thomas, Ronald Larkins, Lizzo, Malcom Mclaren.
Arranged by Luke Greenhalgh and Dan Ford for contemporary rock/pop ensemble, including parts for rhythm section, tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, and trombone. This arrangement is gig-tested and designed for ease of reading during the heat of a live gig. All parts include chord changes for improvised solos or embellishment of backing parts.
N.B. This arrangement does not include lyrics, the melody, or a vocal part. The parts are designed for live performance with a vocalist that knows the melody and lyrics.
About Damn Time is the number one hit from Lizzos 2022 album Special.
This arrangement features a combined Rhythm Section part with clear chord spellings and rhythmic cues for bass guitar, drum kit, guitar, and piano. Additionally, the arrangers have included original backing parts for alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and trombone in the pre-chorus and chorus. The horn parts include up the three voices in harmony allowing a choice of which horn takes the first, second, or third part. The tenor saxophone can be doubled by Bb trumpet, making the appropriate octave transpositions.
