Product Description
2 Easy Classical Dances are great Harpsichord Solos for lesson learning as well as recitals. Both pieces are in the Key of C, both are binary, and both are written in a style reminiscent of Mozart. They both have an upbeat, happy feel and are fun to play. One is a Minuet and the other is a Gavot. The Gavot introduces Alberti bass, triplets, mordents, and different phrasing between the hands. Repeated sections alternate loud-soft, detached-slurred, major-minor. The Minuet has an easy fanfare theme of repeated notes, scales, and arpeggios, then 6 variations which introduce neighbouring notes, tonic minor, inversions, light syncopation, mordents, staccato, and octave.
Minuet - 5 pages, 2 minutes
Gavot - 2 pages, 1:30 minutes
with cover, 8 page booklet
