Adapted from my organ composition of the same name, this piece is available in both standard brass quintet and brass sextet (standard brass quintet plus a second trombone) voicings. Picardy, a 17th-century French carol, is named for the French province where it is believed to have originated. The most popular modern hymn set to this tune by far is Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. It is equally useful for the Season of Advent and Eucharist services, as that hymn is often sung for both occasions. Grade 4 - Duration 3:00
