Product Description

The slave of Reverend Samuel Parris in seventeenth-century Salem, Massachusetts, Tituba was known locally as an indigenous healer. Accused of witchcraft, she confessed to being a witch under pressure from the reverend because he wanted someone to blame for his daughters illness. She said she had signed the devils book, but later retracted her confession after being beaten. This piano composition evokes Tituba's spirit. From the album "13 Witches," available from online music retailers and streaming services. Copyright 2022 Jon O'Bergh Publishing.
