Das Pie Jesu Domine aus dem "Requiem" op.48 von Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) ist ein zauberhaftes romantisches Stück für zwei Trompeten/Flügelhorn und Orgel. Trompetenstimmen in B, C und Es sind vorhanden. Ein ruhiges und meditatives Stück für Konzerte.

Beim hier vorliegenden verhaltenen Satz Pie Jesu Domine" aus Faurés Requiem op. 48, wird der originale Sopranpart im vorliegendem Arrangement mit großer Trompete gespielt. Die Achtelpassagen Ruhephasen zwischen den einzelnen Melodie Abschnitten sind einem Corno da Caccia oder Flügelhorn überlassen, welches Klarinette bzw. Flöte imitiert. Die Orgel ersetzt ein dezent begleitendes Orchester aus Streichern und Holzbläsern.
