Product Description
This string quartet has five movements: Canada, America, Mexico, Brazil and Mayan. Each movement has some connection to its country, except "Mayan".
"Brazil" is based on a Brazilian folksong-hymn "Cantad Al Senor" or "Song of the Lord". Its a lovely, simple hymn.
The movement is more complex but retains the melodic flavor. It may be a challenge, but it's worth the effort.
This quartet is appropriate for advanced high school or college level musicians. (Resist the urge to slow it down too much; try another movement.) The movements are independent of each other, allowing you to build a piece of a certain length.
All together it takes about 13-15 minutes.
