Product Description

This choral work is a 7 part "Cantantina" (A short cantata) scored for a spoken voice, mixed chorus (SATB), piano accompaniment, and organ basso continuo.  It is based upon thematic material excerpted from Haydn's Sacred Cantata, "The Seven Last Words of Christ" . The total performance time is only approximately 12 - 18 minutes so it can easily become an integral part of any Lenten or pre-Easter Church Service. Also the choral parts have been simplified and can be easily performed by most small church choirs.
