Duration: ca. 1'30" (1993). This is the third movement of my "String Quartet No. 2" in ten movements. I was thinking "Second Viennese School" when I wrote this piece (originally for piano, in 1983). Notwithstanding, in spite of some spiky harmonies, tonality wins the show here. Although this piece is relatively brief, it requires considerable technical skill to play effectively.
