A life long musician who studied music composition and theory in college, but changed careers, who found the joy of composing and arranging again later in life. As a concert band writer, he tends to dwell on themes of fantasy and merriment. As a Jazz arranger, Chuck likes to put his own spin on classic tunes, often writing large, up-tempo charts and challenging the regular treatments of classic jazz standards.
