Rodmusic Productions

Rod is a graduate of the West Australian Secondary Teacher's College, Nedlands Western Australia, with a Diploma of Music Teaching (Music Major), 1979, and WA College of Advanced Education (Edith Cowan University), Mount Lawley, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Education (Music Major) and a minor in Drama, Film and Television in 1983. He has more than 40 years experience as Head of the Arts directing music ensembles, choirs and orchestras and classroom pedagogy in three major secondary schools in Perth, Western Australia. His compositions are extensive including choral, pop, instrumental, orchestral and jazz arrangements for various combos. Rod also is a musical theatre composer and producer. This year, 2025 Rod is staging his new WWII musical mates at the Old Mill Theatre in South Perth.
In the professional music field, Rod is a writer member of APRA/AMCOS and is well known for his numerous musical achievements. He is also a Pedagogical Artist with the Australian Music Centre. Rod currently publishes under the Rodmusic Productions banner. He is musical director of A Capella Go Harmony Chorus, an SATB 50 voice choir, who perform  many of Rod's arrangements. Rod has written and produced two major musicals in Australia, Crazy Rock n Roll and MATES a WWII musical.
Rod still performs bass, keys and guitar and vocals in his three bands, mentors music teachers in classroom and instrumental teaching and is writing and scoring orchestral music for film and television in his home studio.
