I studied classical guitar, music theory and solfeo (sight singing) at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica, Valencia, Spain, where I obtained my teachers' Diploma, specializing in classical guitar. My teachers included Dylan Todd (Ireland), Jose Luis Rodrigo (Madrid) and Dona Rosa J. Bosque (Valencia). In Boston I studied jazz guitar with Berklee graduate John Wheatley. I have also given solo classical guitar recitals.
I taught guitar and music theory in many schools and Colleges including Ballyfermot Music College, Castleknock College, and St. Kilians Deutsche Schule.
For many years I organised group guitar classes for young people and adults in Airfield Trust in Dundrum, covering all contemporary styles of electric and acoustic popular guitar playing.
I love arranging classical and popular tunes for guitar and have recorded a selection of my arrangements of Irish Airs for Bord Failte (Irish Tourist Board). As a songwriter, I have composed over 60 songs and released two CDs "In A Quiet Land" and "A King's Ransom". Check out one of my songs on YouTube
