UK Brass Band set-up (with an added Piccolo Bb tpt as sop is high). Brass Bands like whiz and to show of difficult transcribed orchestral works, but here is some refined whiz which cannot be attacked in a 21st C style. Pure classical, requires refinement of the blow, must flow with ease without sense of struggle. This last movement of Haydn's symphony No 104 is a fave of mine, there's no room for bluff, a wrong note will be easily picked out. Armchair technique needed here, even the best bands will have to work to produce the required style and approach!
