Product Description

This Adagio, originally written for 2 clarinets and 3 basset horns, has been arranged for flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. The original was composed between 1783 and 1784 but was not published until the mid nineteenth century. Meanwhile the basset horn has been replaced by the clarinet and is now played only by a few specialist early music performers thus making performances of the original piece a rare novelty. I hope that this arrangement will enable more performers and their audiences to enjoy this delightful quintet.

Players of good intermediate standard and above will enjoy tackling this piece.
