A happy ragtime version of the old Christmas standard Santa Claus is Comin to Town for acoustic guitar. The arrangement is based on the 1943 recording by Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters I heard every Christmas growing up. I give details for the fingering of both hands as the piece may be used for intermediate students of fingerstyle guitar. The hammering on technique on the G and D strings is a really cool little embellishment. The many ties in the melody line are there as a reminder to hold the melody note until the first base note in the next measure has been played. This give the piece a relaxed swinging flow. The piece is a real joy to play, bringing happiness to all who hear it.
