Product Description
The soundtrack for the television series, Outlander, is written by American composer, Bear McCreary. McCreary's works go back to 2004, and he has quite an impressive list of scores for film, television, and video games, including Battlestar Galactica and The Walking Dead.
Outlander is a television series based on novels written by Diana Gabaldon. This beautiful piece is included on the soundtrack for the 3rd season. The original score begins with a solo French horn, backed by a string orchestra.
This is an arrangement for flute choir: 4C, alto, bass, and contrabass flutes. There is an optional cello part that can be substituted with any C instrument is a similar range.
Note: The tendency is to rush the triplets, but the song is not meant to sound frantic. The triplets are there to create a bit of tension and movement under those long-held notes in the melody line. Shape those bars with triplets to help the melody along. This piece has simple enough notes. The challenge is the amount of feeling that your choir can put into it to make speak beautifully.
Duration: 3.5 minutes
