Edvard Grieg's Lyric Pieces are much-loved staples of the piano repertoire. This arrangement is of four of the pieces from the Opus 65 set, composed in 1896, and includes the famous Wedding Day at Troldhaugen. The 3rd movement, the Ballad, is stunningly beautiful, and the rich texture of the divisi parts here is a real highlight.

The four movements are:
1. From early years (Fra Ungdomsdagene)
2. Peasant's song (Bondens sang)
3. Ballad (I Balladetone)
4. Wedding Day at Troldhaugen (Bryllupsdag på Troldhaugen)

Total duration: approx. 16-17 minutes

Every section (apart from the double bass) divides at some point, so a minimum of 9 players are required.
