Product Description

This arrangement of the song "Unto us a Child is Born" is for an intermediate brass ensemble, and so the sections which are more difficult for intermediate brass have been excluded. The introduction, conclusion and the very high parts have been excluded to simplify the piece. The piece was also lowered to the key of G-major to simplify the fast semiquaver sections of the Trumpets and the French horns by reducing the number of sharps. Key changes were simplified in that the whole song remains in the original key of G-major and whenever the key changes in the middle of the song, the sharp signs are indicated on all the relevant notes. And so you don't even have to notice that the key has changed, you just play the notes as they are written. The piece has thus been made more playable and has also been specially adapted to suit brass instruments. Each part is tactically designated or designed for the specific brass instrument. Together the brass instruments converge to produce a beautiful and truly brassy arrangement of this all-time classical song from the Hӓndel's Messiah collection.
