Product Description
Ideal
for primary strings groups or school string ensembles or orchestras for young
students.
Each
of the two violin parts and the viola part have divisi sections. There is
pizzicato in the violin ii and viola parts. There is no rhythmic contrast in
the divisi parts of violin i, whilst the only rhythmic discrepancies in divisi
parts of violin ii are some crotchets against minims. There are two occasions
when more confident players of violin i may use third position for a single
note. At these moments, the notes have open strings on either side to ensure
that pupils have the time to move position. The divisi parts of violin ii are
presented both concurrently and separately, where the latter doesnt use the
third or fourth fingers at all.
The
violin i and viola section are the most challenging at around grade 3 level,
the violin ii falls between grade 1 and 2, and the cello part is grade 1/beginner.
I
design my arrangements to enable teachers to reinforce techniques learnt in
one-to-one or group lessons. I try to pick modern and popular repertoire that
will appeal to children or teenagers. I hope that this arrangement of Adelles
'Skyfall' achieves this.
