Product Description

Very much influenced by Gene Puerling's writing for The Singers Unlimited, this chart is the perfect opener or closer; it packs an energy-packed punch from start to finish! The arrangement benefits from reharmonization, counterline, a challenging scat soil, and an instrumental writing approach to articulation. The soil (which can be taken at half-time for beginning-intermediate groups) sends off a piano solo, a return to introductory material, and an exciting conclusion. In addition to the chord chart versions, drums and fully-notated bass and piano (with a written example solo) parts are included. Your singers and band will have a blast with this barn-burner! Premiered at the University of North Texas/Addison Jazz Festival in 2007.  SSATTB + rhythm (piano/bass/drums)
