Product Description

Simple arrangement of a traditional folk tune/hymn for Native American style flute in any key. Many will recognize this tune as part of the second movement of Antonin Dvorak's "New World Symphony". This arrangement is written in Nakai tablature. R. Carlos Nakai developed this system of tablature notation (commonly known as Nakai tablature) that can be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. This provides resources and support for musicians playing the Native American flute. I have classified the difficulty level at advanced intermediate because the player must use the lower half-hole from the lower tonic to get the second interval note which is used often in this tune.
