Product Description

Tin Pan Alley composer Jean Schwartz' "Hello Central, Give Me No Man's Land" was written toward the end of World War I (in 1918). A change from the usually optimistic patriotism of wartime Tin Pan Alley songs, this one is very wistful, almost bleak. The lyrics of the original depict a young girl trying to put a call through to her father in no man's land. In an informal concert setting, this song presents a nice contrast with circus march, Dixieland, or other upbeat music. Arranged for brass quintet (two Bb trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba).  Performance time is approximately 2:50.  Visit our website, www.tootsuitebrasspublishing.com, for a catalog of our arrangements available through sheetmusicplus.com.
