Decius was a Germon monk, composer, pastor, and Lutheran around the dawn of the Protestant Reformation. The title is Latin for "Lamb of God." This song is appropriate for Good Friday and Easter. Section A exposits the hymn. A modulation to a new key occurs with the help of a German augmented sixth chord. Section B then includes a descant by yours truly.
