This is a musical parody, setting "The Mexican Hat Dance" in a two-part canon with "La Cucaracha" as a ground bass. It is scored for string trio: violin, viola, and cello. It can be performed in a variety of ways, taking as many repeats as necessary and playing the instrumental parts in different combinations. Individual parts are included with the full score.
