This arrangement of "Ye Banks and Braes O Bonnie Doon" by Percy Grainger is based on his own arrangement for wind band, first published in 1936. His original setting of the work for a chorus of womens unison voices, accompanied by mens voices, whistlers, and harmonium or organ at will was written in 1903. It is a simple melody based on a poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns, The Banks of Doon, written in 1793. This arrangement for Brass quintet consists of Trumpet 1 in Bb, Trumpet 2 in Bb, Horn in F, Trombone and Tuba.
