This short choral work lasting 2 minutes is a 10th anniversary memorial to the crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger who died in takeoff in January 1986. The lyrics are the poem of the same title by John Gillespie Magee. The music, mostly tonal with some advanced harmonies and intricate voice-leading, requires a high soprano solo for the discant melody. The MP3 Audio Clip is a computer-generated soundfile.
