Product Description
"Sweet dreams" is one of those signature synth-pop songs of the eighties.
Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart wrote the song after the Tourists had broken up and they formed Eurythmics. At that moment they were disillusioned and broke and the songs lyrics reflects that unhappy time. Although produced with limited resources, its one of the most striking and recognisable songs of the eightys era.
In this arrangement for accordion orchestra, the duelling synthesizers are mimicked by accordion voice 3 and 4 and of course the keyboard. The drum part is very basic and clean, like the original. To add some contrast, bas and a tambourine back beat kick-in during the melodic passages between the verses. Accordion basses in voice 4 are optional but darken the sound nicely, especially when sustained in some passages.
Have fun with this Eighties classic!
