Product Description
Suitable for a trumpet quartet, trumpet choir, or a full band trumpet section, this arrangement will add a bright patriotic touch to sporting events, festivities, or concerts. A four-measure introduction invites the audience or spectators to stand. At the end of the anthem, two 4/4 measures provide the traditional pauses while keeping all the players together without a conductor.
The 1st part includes a descant passage and two flourishes that ascend to the C above the staff. The flourishes can be taken down an octave if necessary. As the 4th part is in a rather low range (descending to the A below the staff), optional alternative parts for Trombone or Euphonium and treble-clef Baritone may replace or double that part.
This arrangement was written for a college band. It's also appropriate for an adult community band or the trumpet section of a good high school wind ensemble.
Instrumentation: Trumpet 1 in B-flat / Trumpet 2 in B-flat / Trumpet 3 in B-flat / Trumpet 4 in B-flat / Trombone or Euphonium (optional alternate for Trumpet 4) / Baritone T.C. (optional alternate for Trumpet 4).
Includes full-page ("letter") and marching flip-folder (octavo) versions of each part.
