Griegs incidental music to Henrik Ibsens play became his most popular work, premiering in 1876 along with the play. Aases death is an elegy depicting the death of Peer Gynts mother dying alone on a mountain. It is simple and powerful. 


Ed Hayes and Frank Harmantas have score this work for 5-part Trombone Ensemble. This 4-minute work is playable by moderately advanced performers except the top part which goes up to a couple high ds and need some endurance.
