In 1837 Jonathan Spillman set the poem written by Robert Burns in 1791 to music. The melody was later adapted to the words by Martin Luther for Away in a Manger. This is a relaxing and beautiful duet of a familiar melody.

It is in the key of G. The melody is divided evenly between parts. Dynamics and pedal/lever changes are clearly marked.
