Elegy was written for the British conductor Elgar Howarth. The brass ensemble follows the instrumentation of a brass band. The work includes mysterious, atmospheric passages as well as quasi-chorales and rapid virtuoso sections all highlighting the diversity of colors of the ensemble. The work ends with a quiet dirge. There are a few spatially notated passages. The duration is 9 minutes. This is a manuscript score, thus the reduced price.
