Most pieces for viola da gamba are either just parts of an ensemble or a very difficult solo part showing off skills.
I chose here 3 pieces - originally for lute - which are solo pieces of exquisite musical value and not hard to play.
I also arranged them for TAB, alto and bass clefs, so the player can choose their easiest method of learning.
The 3 pieces are:
"Bianco Fiore" by Cesare Negri (1535 - 1605) Renaissance
"Gavota" by Giuseppe A. Brescianello (1690 - 1758) Italian Baroque
"Prelude D minor" by Robert de Visee (1650 - 1725) French Baroque
