Product Description

An arrangement for flute (or violin) and classical guitar of Sospiri by the British composer Sir Edward Elgar.   This was originally a work for violin and piano and was to have been paired with another work for violin and piano of his, Salut d'Amour (see my arrangement of that on Sheet Music Plus). On realizing the greater depth of feeling with this work, Elgar decided to title it Sospiri (Italian for "sighs").
I first heard this work performed in Elgar's symphonic arrangement by the El Paso Symphony, and was very much impressed with the piece.
