Product Description

My friend Maestro always said that "O God Our Help in Ages Past" reminded him of his college graduation ceremony.  He past only by the grace of God! Maestro says a lot of things, just a warning!  This hymn, composed in the 1700s, has a comforting message and a stately sound. Here it is arranged for one-octave handbells (G4 - F#5) and perfect for a BEGINNING HANDBELL CHOIR. Per Maestros suggestion, I inserted lyrics of two verses so that beginning ringers who need some support in following the music will have some words to help them along. This arrangement does begin with an introduction, which does not have words, and the choir director may want to point that out.  Practice with a metronome to get the steady rhythm at a slower pace and work up to the 90 bpm tempo.

For church, school, or civic organizations and events.  Key of Eb, two pages, 1:07 minute performance time.
